Itraconazole
Itraconazole is an antifungal medication in the triazole class. It may work by inhibiting fungal cell wall synthesis through blocking ergosterol production. It is used in infections like nail fungus, ringworm, oral thrush, and deeper infections such as aspergillosis and histoplasmosis.
Itraconazole may blocks enzyme that makes ergosterol. Without it, the fungal cell wall breaks down and the fungus dies or stop growing. It does not work on bacteria or virus. Read More
