MECHANISM OF ACTION

Candiforce 200 mg consists of Itraconzole which is a broad-spectrum triazole antifungal that inhibits the fungal enzyme lanosterol 14-alpha-demethylase. This blocks the conversion of lanosterol to ergosterol which is an essential component of the cell membrane. Due to the blockage of conversion there is increased membrane permeability, cell leakage and cell death.
